Chicago Filmmakers is happy to announce two new editions of Masterwork: Field Discussions, a collection of virtual interviews with lengthy set up and award-winning filmmakers adopted by a Q&A session with the audience. On Thursday, October 29 at 6:30PM CST, Chicago filmmaking duo Bob Hercules and Keith Walker from Media Approach Group (MPG) will be signing up for us to examine their 3-decade profession as imaginative associates and their insider secrets to results.
Media Process Group (MPG) is recognized for filming Obama’s momentous “homecoming” in Kenya and his diplomatic stops in South Africa, Ethiopia and Chad resulting in the documentary, SENATOR OBAMA GOES TO AFRICA. Their documentary MAYA ANGELOU: AND Continue to I Rise premiered at the Sundance Movie Festival and went on to win 17 awards on a few continents together with a Peabody Award. In 2019, FLANNERY, a film executive-made by Bob Hercules, won the prestigious Ken Burns/Library of Congress Award and their latest documentary, MIKVA: DEMOCRACY IS A VERB, is slated to run on WTTW on Oct 29 at 8:00 PM CST.
Masterworks: Market Conversations is an opportunity for area artists to learn from established filmmakers and market final decision-makers who are from Chicago or started their occupations in the city. Each individual job interview is followed by a Q&A session for attendees to ask concerns unique to their interests and attain a lot more information from the interviewees.
