Neil Diamond is performing his portion to make the holiday getaway year a minimal bit sweeter this calendar year.
The iconic musician debuted on Monday a music video clip showcasing his admirers from all close to the earth belting out the lyrics to his 1969 hit, “Sweet Caroline.”
“2020 has been a tricky year for all people, so we needed to deliver individuals collectively the greatest way we knew how: Via audio. To inspire folks to come together, we challenged lovers all all around the planet to sing along to ‘Sweet Caroline’,” reads a statement at the starting of the video clip, launched on YouTube.
The video clip demonstrates a compilation of thousands of people from throughout the globe singing and dancing together to the lyrics. Some strummed guitars while doing the hit whilst plenty of other people dressed in festive holiday attire.

And it was not the very first time the artist received creative with the one in 2020.
Back again in March, the music legend offered a free general performance of “Sweet Caroline” with current lyrics additional fitting amid the coronavirus outbreak.
“Hi all people. This is Neil Diamond and I know we are going by a rough time proper now, but I adore ya, and I feel if we all sing together, well, we will feel just a small bit much better. Give it a try, Alright?” Diamond explained.

The artist began executing the sing-a-long favorite, but supporters of his would immediately see that he gave some of the text to “Sweet Caroline” a coronavirus twist.
“Palms… washing arms… reaching out… do not touch me… I will never touch you,” Diamond sang prior to the unchanged refrain.
The movie swiftly went viral, earning roughly 2 million views on Twitter.
